After a 30 year hiatus we’re getting back into the camping business. No pop-up camper this time. We just purchased a small light weight little (1750 pounds) Scamp travel trailer. It will sleep 4 and could possibly do 5 if they are small, and most Ansel’s are at least short. It does have a bathroom and shower which was a must for my wife. It also is air conditioned, and came with a ton of options.
Two of my grand kids already claimed their “bunks” for sleeping, and are really excited about going camping. I can’t remember a whole lot about campgrounds and such, but I guess I’ll learn fast enough. We plan on staying around close to home, before we venture out very far away. I wouldn’t mind doing a trip to Alaska, but we’ll have to wait for Lorna to retire before we get that adventuresome.
When the weather warms some, we just may sleep in the back yard. Hey it works for the kids, and that’s one reason we bought it.
